'The Voice': Kelly Clarkson Is Stunned by a Performer Covering Her Song 'I Dare You'

Kelly Clarkson is a mega-talented performer and a veteran winner of one of the world's biggest singing competitions, so it can be tough to really shock her as a coach onauditioned for season 19 of The VoiceThe Voice. But a season 19 contestant did just that on Monday's round of Blind Auditions!

A 29-year-old contestant named Kelsie Watts decided to tackle coach Kelly Clarkson’s “I Dare You” during the blind auditions that aired Monday night.

Her rendition was more intimate than Clarkson’s original, and — spoiler alert! — the original “American Idol” loved it.

It takes a considerable amount of guts to cover a song in front of the original artist, but Kelsie Watts rose to the occasion and absolutely nailed it. The 29-year-old performer auditioned for season 19 of The Voice by singing judge Kelly Clarkson's song "I Dare You," leaving Clarkson herself in awe of her soaring vocals.

It's very hard to leave Kelly Clarkson speechless. 

"The Voice" coach has become notorious on the singing competition for her gift of gab – she even landed her own NBC talk show last year – but the usually chatty Clarkson didn't have much to say following Kelsie Watts' rendition of her own song.
